"Bright Future" is Lenker's first solo album since the stunning 2020 double album "songs & instrumentals". The new album came into being with the help of three musical friends who found time in their busy tour life to visit her at the studio Double Infinity, tucked away in the woods. The musicians - Hakim, Davidson and Runsteen - were all familiar faces to Adrianne, but strangers to each other. No-one knew in advance what would come of the meeting, but according to Lenker herself, it was a magical experience of musical experiments.
What was really pure play between the four musicians eventually turned into a 12-track album that once again shows Adrianne Lenker as one of the great songwriters of our time.
