"Step in the Arena" is the second studio album of the hip-hop duo Gang Starr, which was officially released on January 15, 1991. The album was praised by critics and also recorded in Robert Dimery's book "1001 Albums: Music You Should Hear Before Life Is Over". Source magazine said: "Step in the Arena is unique on a musical level, but also remains true to the underground heritage of hip hop." In 1998 the album was selected as one of the 100 best Hip Hop albums by The Source.
