In 1986, the Cocteau Twins' singular ethereal pop aesthetics magically crossed paths with Harold Budd's ambient soundscapes on their collaborative album “The Moon and the Melodies”. Now, this ambient pop masterpiece is being reissued on vinyl for the first time, remastered from the original tapes by Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie himself.
Harold Budd and Robin Guthrie would go on to become a regular pairing, releasing a handful of ambient albums throughout the 2000s, including film soundtracks.
